The EVOLUTE™ toilet represents a new generation of sanitary design, and is radically different to a conventional toilet. The EVOLUTE™ features a solid ball (sphere) that has a hollow bored into it, effectively creating a cup within the ball. This cupped ball receives waste and is then rotated to deposit the waste directly to the drainage pipe. The cupped ball is contained within a sealed housing, which provides a seal at all times between the bathroom and the drainage system. This seal eliminates passage of any odours from the drainage system.

As such the EVOLUTE™ does not require a cistern, an S-Bend or a flushing cycle: only a rinse cycle is required. The EVOLUTE™ reduces the amount of water used in a conventional toilet system by over 90%, and can in some instances be used without any water at all.

The EVOLUTE™ footprint is approximately 30% less than a conventional toilet.

The EVOLUTE™ uses a hydraulic system which is powered by the force of mains pressure, and meters out an exact rinse, every time, regardless of any variation in the mains water pressure. The EVOLUTE amazingly consumes less than 1 litre per flush (rinse). The EVOLUTE™ is able to perform so efficiently for two primary reasons:

The EVOLUTE™ functions on the principal of positive displacement, that is the waste is moved directly to the sewer system. Conventional toilets are based on the principal of flushing, which by definition requires a large quantity of fluid to displace a small quantity of material.

Secondly, by providing a pressurised rinse, as opposed to a gravity based flushing system, the EVOLUTE™ is able to greatly reduce the amount of water required to clean the bowl.
The EVOLUTE™ can be installed or retrofitted into any residential setting where there is an upstream source of grey water such as a shower.
The EVOLUTE™ product range is ideal for new residential and commercial developments where drainage can be designed specifically to accommodate EVOLUTE™ products, thereby creating the most water efficient developments ever constructed.

To the user the EVOLUTE™ functions like a normal toilet, there is a small pool of water at the bottom of the toilet, waste is deposited into this pool, & a lever is activated to initiate the rinse and rotate sequence.

DESIGN

The EVOLUTE™ requires about 1/3 less space to install than a conventional toilet and will be available in a range of colours and shapes. As there is no S-Bend or cistern there is greater flexibility for design. Both conventional and radical designs are possible.

The EVOLUTE™ requires about 1/3 less space to install than a conventional toilet and will ultimately be available in a range of colours and shapes.
ENVIRONMENT

The EVOLUTE™ has world leading water efficiency, using less than 1 liter of water, whereas a conventional toilet uses approximately 6-12 liters per flush. This in turn leads to reduction in energy for the supply of water and the disposal and treatment of waste water. An estimated 4 grams of CO2 will be saved per flush compared to a conventional toilet.

OPTIONS

The EVOLUTE™ can be driven with an electric motor, by using the mains water pressure or with a manual lever. The user will generally just push a button to operate the EVOLUTE™ as is normally the case.
